The Return of Organized Youth Sports

As per Governor Murphy Executive Order, organized youth sports activities are being permitted to proceed state wide starting on June 22nd.

We are excited to provide our players and their families the opportunity to some much needed recreational activities in a safe and organized environment. However we are also mindful that not all parents / players may be ready to play this summer.

At this time, we are asking any players and families interested in participating in a summer baseball season to register ASAP on the registration page of our website (registrations are by current Grade levels, Please note 6th grade has an Age 12 - August 31st Cutoff).

We must recieve all registration information by June 12th, as we have a limited amount of time to secure uniforms and make final season preparations.

  1. There will be no registation fees collected with this registration.
  2. Upon completion of this short registration period, teams, divisions and associated fees will be determined.
  3. Depending on the number of registrants, playing divisions may be re-aligned to provide for a fun and safe experience for all.

This Summer season is comparable to the regular spring recreation league of previous seasons. This is NOT a competetive travel program.

Safety First! As part of the return to Organized Youth Sports Activities, there will be many new requirements put in place to provide the best possible experience for all players and coaches.

NJ State Health officials are currently establishing rules and procedures that we will be required to operate by, without exception. These requirements will be shared with all, once they are received.

Additionally, Little League International has provided guidance and recommended procedures for all leagues returning to play. These new procedures, include but are not limited to the following:
Reduced number of coaches for each team

  • Prohibiting of sharing of equipment of any kind
  • Facial covering requirements when not "In Play"
  • Social distancing requirements for players and spectators (both on and off the field)
  • Snack Stand / Concession Areas to be Closed
We are grateful for the opportunity for our players and families to start to return to a sense of normalcy and Emerson Little League wishes everyone the best of health and luck during this time.
